This seminar equipped teachers with the essential skills needed to help them better understand and meet the literacy needs of their students, especially struggling readers and those with learning difficulties. It included:

Hunter Calder has over 30 years experience as an educator specialising in literacy. He is very well known for his extensive series of text and software resources that have been used in schools and homes for more than 15 years to teach reading skills.

In 1990, he was awarded an International Literacy Year Achievement Award for his work. He also runs his own tutoring centre, and has trained other tutors in their respective businesses.
